Standards Compliance

This Web site has been developed following Web standards. All pages use structured, semantic XHTML 1.0 Transitional markup for content, CSS for presentation, and unobtrusive JavaScript for client-side interactivity. Open-source PHP is used for server-side functionality. Users without CSS or JavaScript enabled will still be able to read and use the site.

This site is intended to comply with World Wide Web Consortium and U.S. Federal Government Section 508 accessibility guidelines.

Access keys

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the Web site. In Windows, press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, press Control + an access key.

Some users may experience conflicts between access keys and shortcuts defined by their Web browser or operating system.

Text size

We aim to present text on this site at a legible font size while limiting page length; however, some users may wish to adjust the text size to better suit their needs. The '+' and '-' buttons in the top left corner of the site can be used to increase or decrease text size by users with JavaScript enabled. These adjustments will remain in effect while you are browsing the site, but must be repeated on subsequent visits (as we have opted not to write persistent cookies to your computer).

For users with JavaScript disabled, you may either enable JavaScript or use your browser's built-in text resizing capabilities:

Internet Explorer - To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer (versions 5 through 6), go to the 'Tools' menu, select 'Internet Options' and click on the 'Security' tab. Select the 'Custom Level' button and scroll down to the 'Scripting' section. Make sure 'Active Scripting' is enabled.

To resize text in Internet Explorer, go to the 'View' menu, select 'Text Size' and then choose the size (from Largest to Smallest - Medium is the default size) that you prefer.

Firefox - To enable JavaScript in Firefox for Windows, go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Content'. On the Macintosh, go to the 'Preferences' menu and select 'Web Features'. Make sure the 'Enable JavaScript' box is checked.

To resize text in Firefox (either platform), go to the 'View' menu, select 'Text Size' and choose to 'Increase' or 'Decrease' the font size.
